June 17 – Coldwater, MI to South Bend, IN (79 Miles)
Greetings from Chesterton
Good afternoon and greetings from Chesterton, IN. 19 1/2 days down and hard to believe only 1 1/2 to go 🙂
DHR traveled 79 miles yesterday for a total of 1,273 miles since leaving Boston.
Yesterday started out with a police escort by the Coldwater police. It was a bright sunny day and a forecast for temperatures in the mind 80’s.
Great Dads!
We met and honored some extraordinary dads again yesterday, with Great Dad Coins, including firefighters in Sturgis and White Plains and police officers in three different communities.
Gary (Big Brother) Grube was nice enough to host dinner at the iconic Tippecanoe (formerly known as the Studebaker) Restaurant.
I did have an incident after dinner that was diagnosed by phone by my physician Greg Ewert (and confirmed at Memorial Hospital) with a condition known as Benign Vertigo, most likely caused by an inner ear infection. All seams to be okay now.
Please Donate
Since it’s too late to order a Father’s Day gift online, please consider making a donation in honor (or memory) of your dad. Please do so today by clicking here: http://tinyurl.com/gnfbry6
Here are some other ways you can support the cause of greater father involvement:
1) There is a 2 for 1 special on Great Dad Coins (www.teamdad.com), and
2) purchase a copy of my new book entitled 21st Century Dads: A Father’s Journey To Break The Cycle Of Father Absence, available on Amazon. As a reminder, all the proceeds go to charity.
Also, for anyone who donates $100 or more, I will send you an autographed copy of my book.
We’re off to Hammond today.
Make it a great day and best wishes for a Happy Father’s Day weekend!!!
David
