June 9 – Frostburg, MD to Uniontown, PA (56 Miles)
Greeting from Uniontown, PA
Question: If you work in Uniontown, does that make you a union worker? 🙂
DHR traveled 56 miles yesterday for a total of 666 miles since leaving Boston.
The day started on a chilly note, with temperatures in the mid 40s. It was a very hilly day with five climbs of 2,800+. The uphills are a grind and the downhills are a thrill with the top speed recorded at 47mph.
Extraordinary Fathers
We met and honored some extraordinary fathers today, including some veterans Karl Heilborn (Army), Ricky (Green Beret) and Kevin Kitts (Marines) and Jessica Landry, an Air Force Vietnam veteran doing a cross country trip on her Harley with her two Italian Greyhounds.
It was a long day capped off by dinner at the Fiesta Azteca across the street from the Hampton Inn.
If you’re looking for a Father’s Day gift, please consider a Great Dad Coin as well as purchasing a copy of my new book entitled 21st Century Dads: A Father’s Journey To Break The Cycle Of Father Absence, available on Amazon here. As a reminder, all the proceeds go to charity.
We’re off to Pittsburgh today.
Thanks again. Make it a great day!!
