2021 SFN Mastermind Group Retreat Recap

21st Century Dads Foundation held its 1st SFN Mastermind Group Retreat from November 5-7, 2021. This year’s retreat held on the heals of COVID19 was held in Nashville. Dads stayed at the Hampton Inn.  6 dads from the Wednesday night attended the retreat, they were: Al Feria, Rich Gathro (remotely), Jason Hsieh, David Hirsch, Joe Lofino, and Ian Todd.

The retreat kicked off with a Meet & Greet with pizza, sodas at the hotel.

On Saturday morning the group participated in a Cycle To End Father Absence (C2EFA) ride at Cyclebar The Gulch, in downtown Nashville.

The morning session included playing 21CD/SFN Trivia and some morning sessions.  Aaron Walker, the founder of the View From The Top & Mastermind guru made a presentation over lunch and shared some of the books he authored. The afternoon session included a host of various discussions.

From there the group enjoyed dinner at a local restaurant on Broadway and then evening walking around downtown Nashville.

Sunday’s session included more discussions and reflections on being special needs dads.

It was a modest but meaningful experience and a great opportunity for the dads to enjoy some well earned respite.
